All your submissions are now in and the task of collating them has begun.
We are pleased to announce that we have 170 framed pictures to exhibit by 40 of our members - a great response and we look forward to an eye-catching exhibition to which we hope to attract more visitors than ever before. So carry on telling your friends to come along during the three days of open exhibition and let’s hope to sell a good number of pictures.
Public exhibition times are from 10am till 6pm on Friday and Saturday, 25th and 26th June and 10am till 4pm on Sunday, 27th June at Bollington Civic Hall.
At the Preview on Thursday, 24th June, from 7pm we will offer you a glass of wine or a soft drink and it is with pleasure that we welcome the Mayor of Bollington, Cllr Angela Williams, who will officially open the Exhibition at 7.30pm. She will also draw the prize raffle ticket at around 8pm.
Please do not forget to bring along, in addition to your framed works, your unframed paintings on Thursday, 24th June, from 9.30am so they may be registered and fees paid prior to their being exhibited on tables set up around the hall.
Just a reminder of the rules for the exhibition - do make sure that:-
- - the maximum number of framed pictures is 6.
- - at least one picture is for sale.
- - that all are fitted with hanging cords.
- - that the paint is dry.
- - canvases need not be framed.
- - that each picture has the sellers details attached (title, medium, seller, address and price).
- - each framed painting has a submission fee of £1, payable by cheque with the submission form.
- - any number of unframed pictures may be submitted, each has a fee of 50p which may be paid on the day of exhibition setup, Thursday, 24th June.
- - unframed pictures should be mounted and wrapped in transparent film and have sellers details attached.
- - no changes or substitutions can be made to submitted framed pictures or their prices after receipt of the submission form. This is necessary for the production of picture labels and the catalogue.
Good luck to everyone!
